According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there is an especially high risk of avalanches and snow drifts on several important sections of highways:
- On the Bishkek — Osh road, between the 198th and 255th kilometers (Ala-Bel area, Chychkan);
- On the Karakol — Enilchek section, from the 45th to the 90th kilometer (Chon-Ashuu);
- On the Ala-Buka — Kanysh-Kiya road, from the 65th to the 101st kilometer (Chapchyma);
- On the route Krasnaya Gorka — Ak-Tash, from the 0th to the 3rd kilometer.
It is also reported that the road surface will be slippery, there is a possibility of ice, and movement may be restricted in certain areas.
Rescue services strongly recommend that drivers maintain a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles and exercise caution in mountainous areas.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that in worsening weather conditions, it is better to refrain from traveling to mountainous areas unless absolutely necessary.
