According to law enforcement, the detained T.M.Sh., residing in the Aravan district of the Osh region, actively promoted extremist ideas among the local population. He called for the overthrow of the existing constitutional order and the establishment of a theocratic state in the form of a "caliphate." In addition, he was involved in recruiting people to participate in the conflict in the Middle East within illegal armed groups and planned to carry out terrorist acts on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
During a counter-terrorism operation, the suspect was detained in Istanbul. On March 16, he was returned to Kyrgyzstan with the assistance of GKNB employees.
Currently, an investigation is underway in this case.
