According to available information, on March 27 at around 15:00, a 38-year-old driver M.D. was driving a "Mercedes-Benz E420" along the Balykchy — Ananyev — Karakol highway in an easterly direction. At that moment, another driver, 44-year-old M.U. in a "Volkswagen Passat," exited from the left side of the road while making a turn.
In an attempt to avoid a collision, the driver of the "Mercedes-Benz E420" crossed the gap in the central barrier and entered the oncoming lane, where he collided with a "Renault Samsung SM6" driven by 35-year-old Zh.K.
As a result of this incident, both drivers — M.D. and Zh.K. — died at the scene. Additional information about possible other victims is being clarified.
The traffic incident has been registered with the Issyk-Kul District Department of Internal Affairs. Investigative actions are underway, and necessary examinations have been appointed.
