In Japan, 230 people were injured in bear attacks, 13 died
From April to November 2025, there were more than 230 bear attacks on humans in Japan, of which 13 cases ended tragically, reports Bloomberg. This number surpassed the previous record just four months before the end of the year. During this period, bears were observed nearly 37,000 times, whereas last year this figure was around 18,000. In response to this issue, the government allocated 22 million dollars to combat bears, but the effectiveness of these measures has yet to be seen.
