It became known that the post employees regularly accepted illegal cash amounts from drivers ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 soms in exchange for allowing trucks exceeding the permitted weight to pass without formal violations. According to preliminary estimates, between 150 and 200 trucks passed through these posts daily.
In connection with the identified facts, the investigative authorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under Article 337 "Abuse of Office" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. During operational activities, employees of the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained several workers of the weight and dimension post at the moment of receiving a bribe. A preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen for the detainees, among whom are A.Z. (born in 1991), S.U. (born in 1981), A.A. (born in 1998), A.R. (born in 1994), M.M. (born in 1979), T.T. (born in 1973), and A.B. (born in 1994).
