The police received information that a plot of land designated for social purposes, covering an area of 8,000 square meters, had illegally fallen into private hands.
This incident is classified under Article 337 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Abuse of Official Position").
Employees of the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and investigators from the Osh City Police Department detained two suspects: Sh.K., the deputy director of the Osh branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography under the Ministry of Agriculture, born in 1978, and S.A., the former head of the Municipal Property Management of the Osh City Hall, born in 1968. Both have been placed in custody.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the independent appraisal company "Land Reforms South" determined the value of the land plot to be 200 million soms, after which it was returned to the balance of the Municipal Property Management of the Osh City Hall.
Investigative actions are ongoing, and other individuals involved in this crime are being identified.
