In St. Petersburg, Yekaterina Bivol will be tried for insulting Kyrgyz and Kazakhs

The Lenin District Court of St. Petersburg has initiated an administrative offense case against Ekaterina Bivol.

According to the information from the unified press service of the courts of the city, she is accused under Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which pertains to inciting hatred and humiliating human dignity.

According to the ruling, on November 5, an employee of the Center "E" of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region discovered a video in a Telegram channel where Bivol makes rude remarks about Kyrgyz and Kazakh people.

“Her statements contain a negative characterization of a group united by national, linguistic, and ethnic characteristics, namely Kyrgyz and Kazakhs. The assessment is expressed through insults and profanity. The recorded video mentions the superiority of one group of people over another based on genetic traits,” the ruling states.

The court hearing is scheduled for January 29, 2026.

If found guilty, Bivol may face a fine ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 rubles, compulsory labor for up to one hundred hours, or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.

Additionally, criminal cases have been initiated against her in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, and she has been placed on the wanted list.

Ekaterina Bivol is the ex-wife of Dmitry Bivol, a world boxing champion from Tokmok. She has often spoken negatively about her ex-husband on various social media platforms.
