Bivol's ex-wife faces prison time in Russia for insulting Kyrgyz and Kazakhs

In Russia, a criminal case may be initiated against Ekaterina Bivol due to her video in which she insults representatives of the Kyrgyz and Kazakh peoples. This information was reported by "Gazeta.Ru." The authorities of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have already begun searching for her, and a request for her extradition has been sent.

According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, an investigation into this case has already begun. In particular, the deputy head of the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Yevgeny Artyomov, confirmed that "the appropriate investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region."

The scandalous video in which Ekaterina Bivol uses obscene language towards Kyrgyz and Kazakhs was published on her Instagram at the end of October. Soon after that, her account was deleted, as reported by "Mash na sporte."

The law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan have already reacted to her statements — criminal cases have been opened against her. Additionally, on October 27, a court in Bishkek issued a decision for her in absentia arrest. According to Kyrgyzstan's legislation, Bivol may face a penalty of up to seven years in prison for inciting interethnic hatred.

The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Sanjar Adilov, stated on November 13 that Kazakhstan will insist on Bivol's extradition.
