Ekaterina Bivol, the ex-wife of world boxing champion Dmitry Bivol, has accused Yuri Bivol, her father-in-law, of assault. According to Ekaterina, the incident occurred during her son Nikon's training when Yuri unexpectedly showed up. After her attempts to intervene in the meeting, he physically attacked her. This was reported by RT.
It is worth noting that Ekaterina herself is under investigation in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan due to a video on social media in which she insulted the citizens of these countries.
In recent days, she has been in the spotlight much more often than Dmitry. In just two weeks, Ekaterina has been tried in absentia in one country and declared wanted in another, as well as getting into a conflict with Yuri, promising to sue him.
According to the Telegram channel "Mash na Moyke," the recent incident took place in St. Petersburg. Ekaterina stated that Yuri came to Nikon's training, and when she tried to stop him, a scuffle ensued between them. The woman attempted to record the incident on her phone, but Yuri knocked it out of her hands. The sounds of the struggle and her screams were heard, but the video was not saved.
She claims that her father-in-law inflicted several blows on her, including to her nose, which had recently been operated on.
“This is the essence of the Bivol family. The police are on their way. What did Bivol's father do? He repeated what Bivol himself has done his whole life — he hit me in my injured nose. I will sue him, and he will go to jail,” Ekaterina stated.
Currently, the conflict remains unresolved, and the standoff between the Bivol family and Ekaterina continues to develop. Over the two years since their loud divorce, Ekaterina has repeatedly publicly criticized Dmitry and expressed joy at his defeat in the fight against Artur Beterbiev. She has also made negative remarks about his mother and fans.
In particular, she referred to his mother as a "blatant scum" and the fans as "uneducated trash." Dmitry did not engage in disputes but later turned to the St. Petersburg prosecutor's office, which led to an administrative penalty for Ekaterina in the form of a warning for insults in January 2025.
Ekaterina also accused Dmitry of abuse and humiliation, which she did not hesitate to discuss on television. In one episode of the show "Stars Aligned" on NTV, she recounted how he hit and humiliated her even in front of their children.
Moreover, Ekaterina claims that Dmitry signed an unfair marriage contract through a "bought notary," "robbing" her of $500,000. She believes that the alimony he pays does not correspond to his income and is insufficient to support their two children.
“He broke the watch that Umar Kremlov gave me. The watch that was mine. The marriage contract states that all jewelry worn by the spouse belongs to him. But I’m not going to sue over that; I need to sue for alimony. My sons cannot live on 100,000 rubles. I provide for them, but a millionaire should give more than $1,100 to his children. I will fight for fair alimony,” she added.
Later, in September 2025, Ekaterina specified how much alimony she needed from Dmitry. On the program "Let Them Talk," she insulted him and some guests again.
“I need 516,000 for the children. He cannot take them for himself, although he wanted to. He filed a lawsuit claiming that I am a bad mother. But I am a great mother, and I don’t care about your opinion. There is a law that states that from the age of ten, my older son's opinion matters. And he chose to live with his mother,” Ekaterina said.
However, she has yet to file a lawsuit, although she intended to do so. In her social media, she called for the cancellation of the rematch between Dmitry and Artur Beterbiev, citing her ex-husband's unwillingness to pay decent alimony. Nevertheless, now Ekaterina herself may face legal consequences, not initiated by the athlete. This is due to her statements that attracted the attention of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
The reason was her videos in which she insults the citizens of these countries and hints at drug abuse. As a result, her social media accounts were blocked, and in Kyrgyzstan, she was tried in absentia under Article 330 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic for "Inciting racial, ethnic, national, religious, or interregional enmity," while in Kazakhstan, she was declared wanted.
Interestingly, Ekaterina has Kazakh roots — her father, businessman Igor Burdinskiy, was born in Kazakhstan. However, she does not intend to return to her maiden name after the divorce and plans to take the surname Jalilova in honor of her grandfather.
“For two and a half years, everyone has been reproaching me for my surname. Dmitry called and asked me to return the surname. I always said that this is my children's surname, and I am a continuation of the Bivol family. I decided that we would take my grandfather's Uyghur surname. Soon I will be Ekaterina Igorevna Jalilova, and my sons will be Miron and Nikon Dmitrievich Jalilov,” she concluded.
