According to information from the united press service of the courts of St. Petersburg, Ekaterina previously claimed on social media that she had been subjected to domestic violence by her husband.
The court proceedings concerned a lawsuit by Dmitry Bivol, in which he demanded that the information disseminated by Ekaterina be recognized as false and damaging to his honor and reputation. As a result of the case review, the court established that these statements were indeed defamatory.
The court ordered Ekaterina Bivol to publish a refutation on all her platforms, such as websites and social media pages, as well as in messengers. She must publish the court's resolution, making it accessible to all for a period of no less than six months from the date of publication.
It is worth noting that in June 2023, Ekaterina announced her separation from Dmitry after a long 15 years of marriage, during which they had two sons.
In the professional ring, 35-year-old Bivol has achieved 24 victories and suffered one defeat.
