In 2015, the Bishkek city administration received 22 million euros from a lending organization to finance a project that included the acquisition of special equipment such as bulldozers, garbage trucks, and containers, as well as the design and construction of the landfill. These funds were directed towards the needs of the municipal enterprises "Tazalyk" and "Bishkek Sanitary Landfill."
According to preliminary audit data, the use of loan funds resulted in damage to the budget amounting to approximately 182 million soms.

On January 12, 2023, as part of the investigation into corruption charges, former vice-mayor of Bishkek S. R. A., former director of the "Bishkek Sanitary Landfill" A. A. Zh., as well as leaders of contracting organizations I. V. R. and A. N. B. were detained. All of them have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
The State Committee continues its work to identify all those responsible and assess the final damage caused to the budget.
