It has been reported that the police received information about abuses by responsible workers at the checkpoints, which are managed by the Department of Ground and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan.
According to preliminary data, between 150 and 200 trucks passed through the checkpoints daily.
In connection with this fact, the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 337 "Abuse of Official Position" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
The employees of the weight and dimension checkpoint detained are: A.Z. (born in 1991), S.U. (born in 1981), A.A. (born in 1998), A.R. (born in 1994), M.M. (born in 1979), T.T. (born in 1973), and A.B. (born in 1994). All of them are currently in custody.
