A case has been initiated in the Chui region regarding abuse of official position related to the illegal registration of a vehicle, as reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
According to law enforcement information, in 2023, two citizens, S.A. and J.R., imported a Lexus RX 330 into the country, presenting it as spare parts. For further illegal registration and subsequent sale, they acquired a registration certificate for a previously damaged vehicle of the same make that had belonged to citizen N.I., and also forged notarial documents.
Colluding with an employee of the State Enterprise "UNAA," J.B., the suspects provided false documents, based on which changes were made to the database for a reward of 1,100 US dollars, including the substitution of VIN codes. As a result of these actions, the vehicle was illegally registered and sold to a bona fide buyer for the amount of 7,000 US dollars.
In addition, a scheme to evade customs duties was implemented, which also caused damage to the state, the amount of which is currently being determined.

Under Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the specialist of the State Enterprise J.B. and citizen J.R. have been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.
