Sagynbek Mombekov, born in 1954 in the Bakai-Ata district, studied at the medical institute from 1973 to 1978.
After serving in the army from 1978 to 1980, he began his creative career in the 1980s.
Among his well-known works are songs such as "Sell, Sell" ("Sat, Sat"), "Time of Pleasure" ("Kайф заман"), "Indifference" ("Кайдыгерлик"), "White Snow" ("Аппак кар"), "Truth Cries" ("Чыркырайт чындык"), "Evening of Spring" ("Жаздын кечи"), "I Am Tired" ("Чарчадым"), and "I Am Afraid" ("Корком").
Today, Sagynbek resides in the village of Bakai-Ata.
The cultural department of the Bakai-Ata district organized the creative evening. The district akim Bekmurza Ashimov awarded the artist a Certificate of Honor from the district administration.
Also at the event, the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, Raihan Avdubalieva, known for performing Mombekov's songs, expressed her gratitude to him and performed several of his works.
