The city administration clarified that the city authorities are not involved in the demolition work that has already begun. The demolition was carried out by a citizen, N. Shyrdakov, to whom the land plot was transferred into private ownership based on a resolution of the Osh City Administration adopted in 1999.
This year, the prosecutor's office of the Osh region conducted an inspection and sent a representation. As a result, the department responsible for monitoring the use of land and water resources filed a lawsuit to annul the 1999 resolution. The administrative court of the Osh region granted the lawsuit, canceling the decision to transfer the plot into private ownership.
According to the city administration, citizen Shyrdakov disagrees with the court's decision, and his case is currently under review in the appellate instance. Demolition work has been temporarily suspended until all judicial procedures are completed.
