President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi approved changes to the bill concerning the fees for services provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which led to the increase in the entry fee from $25 to $45.
According to an official document published in the Egyptian government journal, a fee of 50 Egyptian pounds (approximately $1) will be charged for the certification of each document processed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the country. Additionally, a fee not exceeding $20 or its equivalent in another currency will be charged for the issuance of entry or transit visas at borders and for consular services at overseas embassies and consulates.
This regulation came into effect on December 1.
