On December 16, a temporary cessation of drinking water supply is expected in the Oktyabrsky district of Bishkek, as reported by the city mayor's office.
The water supply will be turned off from 09:00 to 19:00. This will affect not only residential buildings but also social institutions such as schools, kindergartens, healthcare facilities, and other important sites.
The water shutdown will affect the section of Zhukeev-Pudovkin Street, which stretches from Akhunbaev Street to Mederov Street.
The shutdown area will include the Eastern RES, the Oktyabrsky Akimat, the Globus shopping center, the Golden Dragon restaurant, the Jasmine teahouse, the YURFA center, the Ice Hockey Sports School, Detention Center No. 1, the Oktyabrsky military enlistment office, Fire Station No. 7, the children's hospital, Bishkekteploset, a private clinic, the Ak Bala kindergarten, Lyceum No. 5, and part of the South 2 microdistrict. Construction warehouses, shops, and facilities of Bishkeksyrbaza on Matrosov Street will also be affected.
Additionally, several pumping stations located on Suvanberdieva, Skryabin, Mederov, Baytik Baatur, Elebaev streets, and in Geologichesky Lane will be included in the shutdown.
The mayor's office strongly recommends that residents and organizations prepare in advance and stock up on the necessary amount of water.
