The State Agency for Civil Aviation of Kyrgyzstan has received an official letter from the European Commission and the European Union Aviation Safety Committee, acknowledging the significant progress made by the country in the field of aviation safety in 2025. This document highlights reforms in legislation, strengthening of institutional capacity, an increase in the number of inspectors, and the implementation of modern control procedures, said Daniyar Bostono, the head of the agency.
This is the first positive communication from the EU Aviation Safety Committee in 19 years, during which Kyrgyzstan has been on the European Union's aviation blacklist.
Daniyar Bostono noted that "for the first time in a long time, we are facing not formal remarks, but trust, open dialogue, and a clear roadmap."

"This is the result of comprehensive and systematic work by the entire team," he emphasized.

If in the spring of next year the European Union mission confirms the readiness of the national civil aviation system, Kyrgyzstan may be on the verge of one of the most significant decisions in the history of its aviation industry.

Previously, the State Agency for Civil Aviation presented the results of reforms in flight safety oversight in Brussels, which also contributed to this positive outcome.

"A key point in this letter is clearly stated: if the State Agency for Civil Aviation manages to complete all the necessary procedures and requirements set by the European Commission, then the EU blacklist mission will visit Kyrgyzstan in March 2026. This will be a final audit by the EU," added the head of the agency.
