The research project "Esimde," which focuses on the study of historical memory in Kyrgyzstan, has presented the book "Fates," which has made it to the list of the TOP-25 most important books in Central Asia for 2025, compiled by the Kazakh cultural media 98mag.

According to 24.kg, Elmira Nogoybaeva, representing the "Esimde" project, noted that this is the first publication in the "Fates" series. The book was released in Kyrgyz and Russian languages, and last year, with the support of a researcher from one of the European countries, it was also translated into English. It is the English version of the collection that was recognized in the TOP-25 by 98mag.
"The book presents truly unique personal stories that cover the fates of Kyrgyz, Dungans, and other peoples. It also tells about repressed families — topics that have long remained in the shadows. We are glad that our collection has received such recognition and has become one of the 25 key books in Central Asia. This brings us immense joy and opens up new opportunities. All stories are based on archival data collected from various sources, including personal and family archives, as well as photographs," shared Elmira Nogoybaeva.

Additionally, she reported on the project’s plans to release the fourth collection soon.
