Recently, a new multilingual tourist portal Nomad.kg was launched in Kyrgyzstan. As reported by the project's author and representative of "Destination Talas," Gamal Soronkulov, the idea to create the platform originated in 2019.

Gamal Soronkulov noted that during this time, the team has developed two successful projects: ecomap.kg, which is an online map of environmental violations, and map.kg, dedicated to the natural beauty of the country and biodiversity in 32 key areas. "We have many supporters who actively help with this," he added.

Soronkulov also pointed out that until recently, attention to Kyrgyzstan's tourism opportunities was mainly focused on the Issyk-Kul region, while other regions, such as Batken and Talas, remained in the shadows.

"Now the situation is changing, and we started our project with the Talas region, which has enormous tourism potential. Locals are aware of three main tourist locations: 'Manas-Ordo,' the village of Sheker, the homeland of Chinghiz Aitmatov, and the Besh-Tash National Nature Park. We are ready to present about 30 tourist sites in Talas," he emphasized.

Vladislav Ushakov, another project author and representative of the NGO "Union of Photojournalists," added that work on filling the website has just begun.

"Unfortunately, there is a serious information gap, especially in the Kyrgyz language. When searching for information about locations in Kyrgyzstan in the state language, one can find no more than 30 places. On our website, information will be available in three languages: Russian, Kyrgyz, and English. Nomad.kg is a non-profit project; our goal is not to profit from each location but to ensure that as many people as possible learn about Kyrgyzstan in a language accessible to them and visit new places. Tourism contributes to the development of regions and the economy of the country," noted Vladislav Ushakov.
