In Bishkek, at the main concert venue of the capital, the XII International Festival "Culture of the Peoples of the North Caucasus" took place. The event gathered over 2500 spectators and filled the hall to capacity.

On stage, more than 300 artists performed, showcasing a variety of dance, vocal, and musical numbers that reflect the culture of the North Caucasian peoples. The festival program combined both traditional elements and modern interpretations, including national costumes.

Ekaterina Chistova, Counsellor-Envoy of the Embassy of Russia in Kyrgyzstan, noted the high level of the performances presented and the diversity of the program.

- The concert exceeded all expectations. We witnessed bright, energetic performances that are rarely seen in such numbers. The poetic heritage of the North Caucasus has been captured in the works of Russian classics such as Pushkin and Lermontov and has become known worldwide. The region has gifted many outstanding individuals, such as conductor Valery Gergiev and poet Rasul Gamzatov. In Kyrgyzstan, people from the North Caucasus represent their homeland with dignity, - she emphasized.

Zhukhra Shidakova, Chair of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in Kyrgyzstan and President of the International Association of Karachays "Ata-Dzhurt," pointed out the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

- I am sure that the audience received immense pleasure and got to know the culture of the North Caucasus better. Every culture is unique, and our task is to pass these traditions on to future generations. By learning about the cultures of other peoples, we enrich ourselves spiritually and find inspiration. I hope such meetings will continue, - she added.

The audience enjoyed performances by the ensembles "Islamay," "Shattyk," "Assa Pati," "Druzhba," "Iveria," "Ulybka," "Taulan," "Goryanka," "Uchkulan," as well as soloists, including Fatima Bayramkulova, Bagir Kushaliev, Milana Saydaeva, Islam Yusupov, People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Karimov, and Honored Artist Igor Vorontsov, along with the lezginka school "Adat" from Almaty.

Kamal, one of the spectators, shared his impressions of the concert.

- It was an amazing concert! Everything was organized at the highest level, the performances were impressive, and the artists were very talented. The performances of Bagir Kushaliev and the ensembles "Assa Pati" and "Iveria" were particularly memorable. These guys created a true festive atmosphere, - he noted.

The festival was organized by the "Ata-Dzhurt" association with the support of the Russian House in Bishkek, the NGO "Center for International Interaction and Cooperation," and the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan.
