According to the new decision, the functions of the authorized state body responsible for direct interaction in the field of international legal assistance are now assigned to the bailiff service under the General Prosecutor's Office. Previously, this task was performed by the judicial department under the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.
These changes are aimed at ensuring the fulfillment of the country's international obligations and are being implemented in accordance with the presidential decree issued on June 23, 2025, which aims to optimize the system of enforcement proceedings and improve the work of bailiffs.
The resolution will come into effect seven days after its official publication.
