
The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan reports the return of 25 kindergarten buildings that were previously illegally privatized. This process was completed in 2025.
During the reporting period, 91 new preschool institutions were opened, of which 32 were built from scratch.
As of today, there are 1997 full-day kindergartens operating in the republic, attended by 257.3 thousand children. This is an increase of 23.4 thousand children and 85 institutions compared to 2024.
According to data from the National Statistical Committee, the coverage of preschool education is 32.3 percent.
According to operational information from the Ministry of Education, 50 percent of children aged three to five are covered by all forms of preschool education and preparation.
