He emphasized that Tolomush Okeev is among those who brought Kyrgyz cinema to the international stage, and his films such as "Kok Serek," "Ulan," "Bakaydyn Zhayyty," and "Ak Ilbirstin Tukumu" will forever be remembered as part of the cultural heritage of the people.
In a statement on behalf of the president, it was noted that the installation of the monument is a "well-deserved mark of respect for history, as well as recognition of Okeev's labor and talent."
