“We removed about 500 trees in the area from Orozbek Akimbayev Street (A. Suymbaev Stadium) to the Babur Theater.
Trees were cut down that grew on both sides of the ditch — between the paved road and the irrigation canal, as well as along the roadway. In addition, trees near the S. Ibraimov Dramatic Theater and on the street in front of the "Osh Nuru" hotel were removed,” he said.
According to A. Sovetbek uulu, last year the ecology department granted permission to cut down old and emergency trees. The Osh City Council also allowed the cutting down of 1,870 trees in the area from Vakhapov Street to Alisher Navoi Street.
