The city hall reported how much coal is left at the CHPP

As of January 13, 2026, the coal reserves at the CHPP amount to 189,416 thousand tons, as reported by the city hall. To ensure operations during the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026, it is planned to purchase 1,400,000 tons of coal to guarantee the supply of electrical and thermal energy. Deliveries will continue until the end of the heating season.

According to the municipality, on the specified date, the average capacity of the station reaches 460 MW, while the heat output is 8,694 thousand Gcal, and the electricity generation is 11,034 thousand kWh. The daily fuel consumption is as follows: coal — 7,470 thousand tons, gas — 390 thousand nm³.
There are 15 boiler units, 7 turbo units with cross connections, and 2 power blocks (numbers 3 and 4) operating at the CHPP. Currently, 10 boiler units and 5 turbo units with cross connections are in operation, as well as both blocks No. 3 and 4. 1 boiler unit and 1 turbo unit are under repair. 4 boiler units and 1 turbo unit remain in reserve.
