On January 13, during a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Law and Order, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Oktobyr Urmambetov, announced the start of testing a speed control system on the highway connecting Bishkek and Tokmok.
Urmambetov noted that specialized cameras had been installed on this section of the road. During the testing period, 7,406 cases of speeding violations have already been recorded.

The main objective of this testing is to assess the effectiveness of the system, which records not only individual instances of speeding in the vicinity of the cameras but also compliance with the speed limit throughout the entire monitored section. The Deputy Minister did not specify the time frame during which these violations were detected.
