According to the activist, the conflict began about nine months ago after an incident in one of the "Kulikov" cafes when he demanded service in the Kyrgyz language. As a result, representatives of the establishment filed a complaint with law enforcement, which led to his detention. Later, the court changed the preventive measure to house arrest, which the activist continues to serve.
Aktilek Orozbekov claims that the legal proceedings have been ongoing for about nine months. Currently, representatives of "Kulikov" are demanding stricter measures and insisting on his temporary imprisonment. Orozbekov links this to attempts to limit his access to the internet and his ability to speak out about the court process.
He emphasized in his message that he considers this case important for the protection of the status of the state language and will continue to speak about it openly.
