On January 15, in Osh, at the stage of the State Uzbek Academic Musical and Drama Theater named after Babur, the fair "Agro Caravan - 2026" took place.
According to information from the regional representative office, this event was organized to support the agricultural sector and enhance the professional skills of farmers. The initiative was implemented as part of the "Partnership in Irrigation in the Fergana Valley" (FVIPP) project.
Among the participants of the fair were the first deputy head of the Osh region, Ilyaz Tashbaev, the regional director of Helvetas in Central Asia, Andrew Wilson, as well as numerous farmers and entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the event, Ilyaz Tashbaev noted that the fair provides not only an exhibition opportunity but also serves as a platform for experience exchange, in-depth training, and opening new prospects for agricultural development. He emphasized that the main task of "Agro Caravan - 2026" is to familiarize farmers with modern irrigation technologies, inform them about available financial products, and facilitate direct contacts between producers, financial institutions, consultants, and companies.
According to preliminary data, by the end of 2025, more than 400 hectares of modern irrigation systems were implemented in the region, and by 2026, this figure is planned to be increased to 600 hectares.
