In the course of 11 months in 2025, regions of Russia spent 828.5 million rubles on purchasing tickets for the administrative deportation of foreign citizens. According to "Tenderplan," this amount has increased by almost 30% compared to 2024. Such expenses are comparable to the budget deficit of Ingushetia for 2026, as reported by the publication "Vedomosti."

The newspaper points to several factors contributing to the increase in expenses:
The Central Federal District became the leader in expenses, spending almost 343 million rubles (an increase of 30.5%). The Northwestern District nearly doubled its expenses, reaching 206.8 million rubles, while the Ural District showed a record increase in expenses — from 537.6 thousand to 11 million rubles, which is a 20-fold increase.

Since February 2025, the powers for the deportation of migrants have been transferred from the courts to the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which has expedited the process: now a decision can be made by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs the day after the protocol is drawn up.

According to data from the Federal Bailiff Service, 54,400 people were forcibly deported in the 11 months of 2025. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds that if a foreign citizen has not settled the costs of sending them home, their entry into Russia will be closed until the debt is fully paid.
