In the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (KMAO), the cancellation of cash payments for migrants, which are provided for the birth of a child, is expected. Currently, the program "Growing in Yugra" offers 20,000 rubles to all families living in this region. The Department of Social Development of the region has initiated the corresponding bill, as reported by the publication "Arguments of the Week," citing its sources.

According to the newly proposed changes, migrants may lose their right to receive benefits and other forms of financial assistance for families. In recent years, the region has spent about 23 million rubles on payments for foreign citizens. If the bill is passed, it will save approximately 8 million rubles from the region's budget.

It should be noted that recently the list of restrictions for migrants in certain sectors has been expanded in KMAO. Foreigners are now prohibited from working in the food service, taxi, and courier services.
