According to the Federal Bailiff Service, the number of deported migrants decreased by more than one third in 2025. This information was reported to Interfax.

The press service of the agency clarified that in the 11 months of 2025, 54,400 foreign citizens and stateless persons were forcibly deported from Russia, while in the same period of 2024, this figure was 79,000.

It is worth noting that in 2024, there was almost a twofold increase in the number of deported migrants compared to 2023. However, in 2025, the situation changed, and the number of expulsions significantly decreased.

The FSSP associates this decline with the extension of the presidential decree of Russia "On Temporary Measures for Regulating the Legal Status of Certain Categories of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons in the Russian Federation in Connection with the Implementation of the Expulsion Regime." According to this decree, foreigners were required to regularize their legal status in the country by September 10.
