At the border veterinary control point "Ak-Tilek," located in the Chui region, an attempt to import a significant batch of kumis was stopped. According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, 15,600 liters of this drink were planned to be delivered from Russia, but the cargo was detained and sent back.
Veterinary control inspectors identified a violation during a scheduled inspection. Upon examination, it was found that the labels lacked a production date, which is a serious violation of the country's veterinary and sanitary standards. The absence of the necessary labeling raises doubts about the freshness and safety of the product.
Based on the recorded violations, reports were drawn up, leading to an official ban on the import of this product. The entire batch, exceeding 15 tons, was forcibly sent back to Russia through the same checkpoint. The agency noted that veterinary services and livestock development services continue to operate in an enhanced mode to prevent the entry of dangerous and low-quality products into the Kyrgyz market.
