The movement of a driverless train has begun in the Moscow metro. In the first phase of testing, the trains will operate without passengers, and a driver will be present in the cabin, responsible for monitoring all systems and ensuring safe movement.

The launch of driverless trains with passengers is scheduled for 2027, and the first line of the driverless metro is expected to be operational by 2030.

In Moscow, within the framework of an experimental legal regime, the driverless tram "Lion Cub-Moscow" is already in operation. A large-scale traffic monitoring and management system has also been implemented, commercial deliveries using robots are being conducted, autonomous boats are being tested, and a "digital twin of Moscow" has been created. Additionally, experiments have been carried out on robotic year-round cleaning in five city parks, and robotic technologies are actively developing in healthcare, trade, and logistics.
