Among the key areas highlighted by the minister are:
- prevention of non-communicable diseases;
- promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
- strengthening immunization;
- protection of maternal and child health;
- reduction of maternal mortality;
- epidemiological surveillance of infections;
- reforming the healthcare system.
Dosmambetov expressed hope for support from the UN in equipping medical institutions with modern equipment, as well as in expanding opportunities for internships and training of medical personnel abroad, including experience exchange with international colleagues.
Antje Grave noted that Kyrgyzstan is actively participating in the global digital transformation program supported by the UN and confirmed readiness to provide further assistance in the areas of digitization, immunization, maternal and child health protection, reproductive health, as well as in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
During the discussion, issues of strategic planning for the UN system's work for 2026-2027 and the preparation of a new five-year framework agreement for the period 2028-2032 were also addressed.
As a result of the meeting, both parties expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation and working together on the sustainable development of the healthcare system.
