According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Health, this maternity hospital was built in 1968 and had not undergone major renovations since then, with only periodic cosmetic repairs being carried out. The major repairs started in June 2025.
The work covered many departments, including intensive care, pathology of pregnant women, the maternity ward, as well as operating rooms and the clinical laboratory department. The neonatal intensive care unit and the mother-child cohabitation unit were also updated.
A centralized oxygen system has been installed in the new maternity hospital, additional operating rooms have been added, and comfortable conditions have been created for patients in the wards.
The major repairs also affected engineering systems: sewage, water supply, heating, and electricity supply were updated, and work was done on the roof and facade. A waiting room for relatives has been organized for the convenience of visitors.

As part of the project, a lift was installed with sponsorship funds amounting to 3.8 million soms, which will significantly simplify access for pregnant women.
The total amount of funds allocated for the major repairs was 87 million soms. These funds were provided by the Ministry of Health and the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund.
Every year, between 9,000 and 10,000 newborns are delivered at the maternity ward of the Osh Interregional Clinical Hospital, and approximately 20,000 pregnant women receive medical assistance here.
Additionally, this medical institution serves as a training and methodological center for obstetricians and gynecologists.
