The Ministry of Transport advises drivers to be attentive and follow traffic rules on mountain routes.
Due to a sharp deterioration in weather conditions and heavy snowfall, the Ministry of Transport and Communications has announced temporary restrictions for trucks at the Toо-Ashuu pass.
According to the department's information, on February 11 at 03:40, restrictions on the movement of heavy vehicles were recorded on the Bishkek—Osh highway. As of 08:30, these restrictions remain in effect.
The road services "Kyrgyzavtozhol-North" and "Kyrgyzavtozhol-South" are working around the clock to clear the roads of snow and apply a sand-salt mixture.
On the Suusamyr—Talas—Taraz highway, in the area of the Otmok pass, it is also snowing; however, traffic on this road remains open.
The Ministry of Transport strongly recommends that drivers avoid entering the oncoming lane, adhere to traffic rules, and carry all necessary winter equipment.
