According to the agency's data, as a result of heavy snowfalls, snow has fallen on the roads Aala-Buka—Zhany-Bazar—Kirovka and Krasnaya Gorka—Ak-Tash, leading to a temporary halt in traffic.
More than 10 units of specialized equipment have been involved in clearing the roads, provided from the rural district of Kanysh-Kiya, including OsOO "Zhagalmai," OsOO "Full Gold Mining," and road maintenance enterprise No. 27. The clearing work continues to ensure road safety.
Due to the worsening weather conditions, schools in the area have switched to remote learning. Some villages are experiencing power supply interruptions, and restoration work is currently underway. Additional emergency teams will be sent to the area after access to the roads is restored.
There are also reports of damage to the roof of one residential building and the collapse of the roofs of two livestock barns. Fortunately, there are no casualties among people, and there is also no damage to livestock.
The snowfalls have also affected the Toguz-Toro district, where in some villages the snow cover reached 1 meter. However, after the clearing work was completed, access to all settlements was restored, and schools have also transitioned to an online format.
In some sections of the alternative North-South highway, avalanches have occurred, leading to a temporary blockage of the road and the establishment of checkpoints. Temporary restrictions have also been introduced on the section bordering the Jumgal district of the Naryn region. It should be noted that no power supply interruptions have been recorded in this area.
The situation in the two districts is under the control of the presidential representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Jalal-Abad region, Tilek Tekebaev, who has been given instructions for prompt response.
