The implementation of the medical equipment inventory system continues in the Kyrgyz Republic

At a meeting organized jointly with the German Development Bank (KfW) and the consulting company GITEC-IGIP, the implementation of a digital medical equipment inventory system called SAMEDIS was discussed. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

As part of the event, medical institutions received 150 printers and 1000 cartridges, which should help optimize work processes and maintain electronic records of equipment.

Participants discussed the current status of the sectoral program "Healthcare V," funded by the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as aspects of technical support, data updating, and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the system in medical organizations.

It was reported that staff training has already been completed in all designated medical institutions, and the system has been successfully launched. In the regions, the inventory process continues, while healthcare organizations in Bishkek and the Chui region have already completed the main phase of work and have begun regular data updates.

Additional training sessions were also conducted for employees of relevant departments responsible for managing the database and quality control of information. In the future, the functions of accounting for medical equipment will be transferred to the state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacy."

Aybek Matkerimov thanked the German Development Bank (KfW) and GITEC-IGIP for their support, emphasizing that such cooperation significantly enhances the resilience and efficiency of the country's healthcare system.

The next step includes organizing technical support and further developing digital solutions in the field of medicine.
