According to information from the government, this bill is aimed at improving the existing legislation in the field of military service and military duty. It is designed to ensure proportionality of payments by citizens for military service, eliminate corruption risks associated with the application of the Code of Offenses, and increase the responsibility of conscripts and reservists for violations of accounting rules by raising the amount of fines.
The bill was adopted without discussions.
According to the proposed amendments, the amounts of fees for alternative service will be as follows:
- 250 calculated indicators for citizens called up due to family circumstances;
- 400 calculated indicators for citizens with health limitations;
- 500 calculated indicators for members of registered religious organizations;
- 750 calculated indicators (75,000 soms) for citizens aged 22 to 40 who have not served in the military, as well as for those who have completed alternative service and wish to participate in mobilization reserve training;
- 900 calculated indicators (90,000 soms) for reservists under 30 with higher education who are registered and wish to undergo training to obtain an officer rank.
- The fine for violating military accounting rules will be 100 calculated indicators (10,000 soms), whereas the current sanctions provided for a warning or a fine of 10 calculated indicators.
