This event was held under the slogan "Rights. Justice. Action. For all women and girls" and brought together representatives from various sectors, including government bodies, the judiciary, the financial market, international organizations, and the media.
This event became part of a global initiative of stock exchanges dedicated to gender equality and sustainable development. The KSE, as an active member of the international stock exchange community, joins this campaign annually, emphasizing the importance of an inclusive economy.
The main goal of the event is to raise public awareness that empowering women is not only a matter of social justice but also a necessary condition for economic growth and the stability of the country's financial system.
This year, the focus was on women's access to justice, which is viewed as a key factor for economic well-being. The topic includes addressing various barriers such as legal illiteracy and the lack of mechanisms for protecting property and labor rights.
Experts such as the UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan, Antje Grave, Deputy Minister of Justice Sayra Izakova, and UN Women representative Said Sadik spoke at the event.
The General Director of the KSE, Aida Chodulova, noted that women today are the backbone of Kyrgyzstan's financial sector, acting as highly qualified specialists and strategically minded investors.
"Research shows that women investors often demonstrate a more measured approach to risks and high discipline, which contributes to market stability. Our task is to create conditions under which women entrepreneurs and private investors can effectively grow their capital with reliable legal protection," she added.
Said Sadik, the UN Women representative in Kyrgyzstan, emphasized the importance of access to justice for achieving gender equality and expanding women's economic rights.
"When women have the opportunity to assert their rights and participate in the economic process on equal terms, it makes societies more resilient and inclusive. We are proud to collaborate with the KSE within the framework of the Ring the Bell for Gender Equality initiative, moving from words to real actions," he added.
During the event, panel discussions were also held where experts discussed how creating conditions for the protection of women's rights can enhance the country's investment attractiveness.
