Topics for discussion Competition for universities in Hungary. Official results from officials are expected

Previously, readers of 24.kg expressed concern about the national selection procedure for the international state scholarship program Stipendium Hungaricum in 2026.

Applicants noted that unlike previous years, this year the Ministry did not publish a general list of recommended candidates. Instead, the results were sent to each applicant individually, without providing public access to the final list.

Among those who did not pass the selection were applicants with high academic performance, such as a high GPA, IELTS results, and achievements in Olympiads and competitions.

Nevertheless, the Ministry of Science assured that the process of verifying all data to form ranking positions is currently underway. According to officials, the official results of the competitive selection have not yet been approved or published.

The final results will be published only after all verification procedures are completed and approved in the established manner on the government portal.
