On March 14, the mayor of Osh, Janarbek Akayev, and the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, Nurdin Oruntaev, held a working meeting with representatives of the construction business.
According to information provided by the municipality, during the conversation, the minister informed the participants about the mechanisms of the construction sector and the rules for conducting construction work legally. He emphasized that a number of facilities in Osh were built without the necessary permits. Currently, 34 such cases have been recorded.
Nurdin Oruntaev highlighted the seriousness of the problem, noting that the quality and legality of construction work will be subjected to strict checks, and the final decision will be under the control of the country's president.
Janarbek Akayev added that the results of inspections conducted by state structures will determine further actions.
After the meeting, Nurdin Oruntaev and Janarbek Akayev visited key construction sites to assess the progress of the work:
- Two-level interchange: a bridge connecting Gapar Aitieva and Kokum-Biy streets.
- Kensay massif: the construction of a school and kindergarten has begun.
- Residential buildings of the State Mortgage Company: projects implemented through the State Mortgage Company.
