In Manas, buses powered by gas fuel have not been operational for the sixth consecutive day.

According to city officials, the main reason for this situation is the decrease in natural gas pressure.

Deputy Mayor U. Ismailov noted that restoring gas pressure will allow the buses to return to their routes.

“In our city, 60 municipal buses serve passengers. Since March 11, 10 electric buses and route taxis from private companies have been operating on the lines. As soon as the gas pressure is normalized, the municipal bus fleet will immediately resume operations,” added U. Ismailov.

This is not the first time that public transport in the city has faced disruptions. Similar problems arise during periods of sharp cold.

Officials noted that gas is supplied from Uzbekistan, which is why there is a decrease in pressure; however, the situation is expected to improve within the next 24 hours.

We remind you that on October 26, 2023, President Sadyr Japarov gifted 50 buses of the "Zhongtong" brand in honor of City Day.

These buses run on methane and can accommodate 24 to 34 passengers, with a length of 12 meters.
