- The epizootic situation in the republic remains under control. In January and February 2026, no cases of infectious diseases among animals were recorded. To maintain a favorable environment, in accordance with the plan for anti-epizootic measures, veterinary and livestock services received the necessary biopreparations and antihelminthics. The supply was carried out with compliance with all conditions of the "cold chain".

In this year, 135 million soms have been allocated from the budget for the purchase of veterinary supplies. To date, all veterinary services are fully equipped with the necessary preparations. Strict control has been established over the storage conditions of vaccines, biopreparations, and antihelminthics in refrigerators to comply with veterinary standards and ensure their proper use.
- Are spring preventive measures planned? What measures are being taken to protect livestock from diseases?
- Currently, work has already begun on vaccinating heifers against brucellosis, and blood samples are being taken from cattle for the diagnosis of this disease. Vaccination of pets against rabies and deworming is being carried out. With the improvement of weather conditions, mass vaccination of livestock against various infectious diseases is expected.

- As of March 12, 2026, more than 2.121 million heads of cattle, 536.9 thousand horses, and 3.9 thousand pigs are registered in the animal identification and tracking system (AIIS). Within the framework of identifying young stock, 37.9 thousand heads of cattle, 6.1 thousand horses, and 213 pigs have already been accounted for.
The identification system allows for the control of animal movement, conducting accurate diagnostic studies, and organizing planned vaccinations, which helps to update data on livestock numbers in the republic.
