According to information from the Ministry of Water Management and Agriculture, the spring campaign for the prevention of animal diseases has begun in the republic.

As part of the approved plan, vaccination of heifers aged 3 to 6 months against brucellosis is being carried out. At the same time, blood samples are being taken from cattle for testing for this disease.

To protect domestic animals, vaccinations for dogs and cats against rabies are being conducted, and deworming is starting to combat echinococcosis.

The mass vaccination of sheep and goats includes vaccinations against sheep pox and brucellosis, while cattle are vaccinated against sheep pox, anthrax, and pasteurellosis. All vaccination costs are covered by the state treasury.

In 2026, to ensure a stable epizootic situation in the republic, all territorial veterinary services will be fully supplied with the necessary biological preparations, antihelminthics, and disinfectants. Special refrigeration equipment will be installed for their storage.

The plan of measures for the prevention of epizootics was developed taking into account the livestock population and the epizootic situation in different regions, agreed upon with local authorities, and officially approved.

In 2026, 135 million soms have been allocated from the republican budget for the purchase of veterinary drugs and biological products. All necessary funds for conducting the spring prevention have been fully provided.

Currently, control over compliance with veterinary standards for the storage of vaccines and biological products, as well as their quality and rational use, is being strengthened.
