The works of Khudayma Nishanbay kyzy, a native of the Leilek district, today adorn the walls of many kindergartens and buildings in the capital.

She was born with an anomaly in both hands, but this does not prevent her from turning her dream into reality. A Turmush correspondent spoke with her.

Khudayma dreams of becoming a famous artist and works hard to achieve this, constantly honing her skills. She is currently studying at an art academy, where she continues to develop her talent.

“Since childhood, I have loved to draw. I dream of becoming a renowned artist with a global name. I became passionate about drawing at the age of 14, and now I am 22 years old. I study at the Kyrgyz State Art Academy named after Turgunbai Sadykov.

In our family, there are five children: four sisters and one brother. I think this talent was passed down to me from my father. Like me, my sister and brother can also draw.

I have not yet had a personal exhibition. But invitations to various exhibitions are already coming in. Just recently, I was invited to the city of Osh for the international plein air for artists called "Sunny Palette of the East." I really enjoyed this event. There, we worked outdoors and painted pictures,” she shared.

According to Khudayma, she particularly enjoys landscapes and sketches: “When I look at them, my mood even changes. Probably every artist has a work that they admire and aspire to. I feel very close to the works of Vincent Van Gogh. I am especially fascinated by the colors in his paintings and his unusual painting technique.

Our works can be seen in kindergartens, children's play areas, and private institutions. We often receive offers and orders — we go out and paint walls. This is very inspiring because people appreciate our work. And my hands are, in essence, a miracle of the Creator. Even though they do not look like the hands of other people, for me, they are just as convenient. When I draw or engage in other work, I do not experience any difficulties,” she said.

Currently, Khudayma is studying at the art academy in the city of Bishkek.
