Tyson Fury, the former world heavyweight champion, has confirmed that he is returning to the world of professional boxing. His comeback will take place on April 11 in the United Kingdom, where he will face Arslanbek Makhmudov.
The 37-year-old Brit retired a year ago after two consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk, but he has now decided to return to the ring. This year, the "Gypsy King" intends to have three fights and is currently in training camp in Thailand.
The meeting with Makhmudov will be Fury's first fight on home soil since 2022, when he won against Derek Chisora. The fight will be broadcast on the popular platform Netflix.
Arslanbek Makhmudov, a 36-year-old Russian boxer currently competing in Canada, has a record of 21 wins in 23 bouts, 19 of which were by knockout. In his last fight, he won against British fighter Dave Allen by decision.
Fury's return has sparked active discussions about potential major fights in the heavyweight division, including possible bouts with Anthony Joshua or WBO champion Fabio Wardley.
