The competition started on January 31, and 16 wrestlers participated in the weight category up to 62 kg.
In the 1/8 finals, the Kyrgyzstani athlete defeated Akylai Chynybayeva, who also represents Kyrgyzstan, and then overcame Russian Anastasia Sidelnikova. In the semifinals, Sazanova faced Ekaterina Oleinikova from Russia and also emerged victorious in that match.
In the decisive bout, she wrestled against a representative from North Korea but, unfortunately, lost.
Ultimately, Dilnaz Sazanova took second place in her weight category, winning a silver medal.
