Athletes of SK "Manas" Won Medals at the Kyrgyzstan Jiu-Jitsu Championship

In Kara-Balta, the results of the athletes from the "Manas" sports complex at the Kyrgyzstan Jiu-Jitsu Championship were summarized, reported Turmush correspondent.

The Kyrgyzstan Jiu-Jitsu Championship took place on January 24-25 in Bishkek at the "Gazprom" sports and health complex. The tournament was organized by the National Jiu-Jitsu Federation to form the national team of the country. About 300 athletes from various regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as veterans, participated in the championship.

Four athletes represented the "Manas" sports complex from Kara-Balta: two boys and two girls - students of coach Almaz Mambetov. As a result of the competition, three of them won medals.

Kamilla Moldobekova became the champion of Kyrgyzstan in the U-16 category in the weight category up to 63 kg and won a gold medal. She received a ticket to the Central Asia Championship and joined the national team.

Aziza Bakytova took third place in the U-16 category.

Ali Akhmedov also became a bronze medalist in the U-16 category in the weight up to 69 kg.

Atykhan Shabdanov also stood out at the Kyrgyzstan Championship. Previously, he became the world champion in jiu-jitsu in Abu Dhabi at the age of 10. At the current championship, he competed in the U-14 category in the weight up to 52 kg and took second place. The athlete currently lives and trains in Bishkek, but his first coach was Almaz Mambetov, the founder of the jiu-jitsu section in Kara-Balta.

After the competitions, a ceremony for the awarding of belts and stripes took place at the "Manas" Jiu-Jitsu Club. Gray belts were awarded to Oktay Mahmudov, Berdali Toktogulov, and Hamza Aslanov. The champion of Kyrgyzstan, Kamilla Moldobekova, was awarded an orange belt.

The team coach, Almaz Mambetov, thanked the parents of the athletes for their support.

The club's upcoming plans include participation in international grappling competitions. The tournament will take place on February 7-8, 2026. Athletes from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan will participate. Four athletes from the "Manas" sports complex will compete in the event.

Additionally, the Central Asia Jiu-Jitsu Championship is planned to be held on May 2-3, 2026, with Kamilla Moldobekova earning the right to participate.
